As a Field Researcher/Enumerator with ADRI Research Institute (U) Ltd, you will collaborate with research teams to collect high-quality data for impactful development projects across Uganda. Administrative Work Excellent attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and data entry. Ability to maintain organized records and meet reporting deadlines.
Technical Expertise Proficiency in mobile data collection tools and basic troubleshooting skills for field equipment. Understanding of research methodologies and data collection best practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured interviews and surveys with households, businesses, or institutions
- Collect accurate and reliable data using mobile devices and paper forms when necessary
- Navigate to assigned locations using provided maps and GPS coordinates
- Maintain confidentiality and research ethics throughout data collection
- dentify and report challenges or issues encountered during fieldwork
Must Have
- Minimum of Certificate or diploma education; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Fluency in English and your local / native languages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned regions
- Proficiency with smartphones and basic mobile applications
- Valid Ugandan ID or work permit
Nice to have
- Experience with mobile data collection platforms (ODK, SurveyCTO, etc.)
- Knowledge of multiple Ugandan languages
- Background in development research or similar field projects
- Experience with GPS navigation
- Valid driving license
